The program puts special emphasis on the issue of gender equality in organizational leadership. She is also the founder and editor of the supplement Universities & Employment, released weekly by leading economics daily Diário Económico; as well as Editor of annual publications “MBA Guide Book”, “Master Guide”, “Who’s who in the higher education and training
With a degree in Anthropology, she also participated in journalism programs at Boston University and Oxford’s Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism. In 2014 she was invited by the U.S. Department of State to join the International Visitor Leadership Program “Women and Entrepreneurship – a Multi Regional Project”, where she had the opportunity to meet inspiring female entrepreneurs from all over the world.
She started her career in journalism 22 years ago as editor in chief in Rádio Comercial. She’s also member of the European Professional Women’s Network (EPWN) – Lisbon, a dynamic offline and online networking and leadership development platform for professional women with more of 3,000 members representing over 90 nationalities.
Madalena Queirós also served as Press officer of the Ministry of Education of the XVIII Portuguese Government (2009 – 2011).

“More Women on Board Campaign” seeks to encourage companies to appoint more women to serve on their Boards as Directors and or Independent Non-Executive Directors. This campaign will take place worldwide on International Women’s day, 8 March 2016 and for the years to follow.
